In T20 cricket, hitting a six off a bowler is a sign of a batter’s dominance. But when it comes to Team India sensation Naman Dhir, the script seems to be completely reversed. He has been dismissing batters who hit sixes off his bowling on the very next ball. Yes, you read that right! Just take a look at his wickets and see for yourself.

Indian all-rounder Naman Dhir has grabbed everyone’s attention with a unique bowling pattern in his debut T20 International series. Whenever a batter hits a six off his bowling, Dhir sends him back to the pavilion on the very next delivery.

Interestingly, all five wickets Naman Dhir has taken in his first three T20Is have followed this same pattern.

Dhir made his international debut in the ongoing T20I series against West Indies. He picked up three wickets in the first T20I in Lucknow but failed to take a wicket in the second match in Ranchi. However, he bounced back in style in the third T20I in Indore yesterday, claiming two more wickets. As a result, he has taken five wickets in just three T20Is.

A Remarkable Pattern Behind All Five Wickets

A fascinating similarity can be seen in all five dismissals. Naman Dhir dismissed every batter who hit a six off his bowling on the very next delivery.

In the first T20I against West Indies in Lucknow, Shai Hope smashed a six off Dhir on the third ball of the 12th over. However, Dhir dismissed Hope on the very next delivery, the fourth ball of the over.

Later, on the first ball of the 14th over, Romario Shepherd hit a six off Dhir. Dhir responded immediately, dismissing Shepherd on the second ball of the over.

The same pattern continued in the 16th over. Shamar Springer smashed a six off the fourth ball, but Dhir outfoxed him and took his wicket on the very next delivery.

Naman Dhir Continues the Trend in the Third T20I

Dhir maintained his remarkable pattern in the third T20I as well.

On the fifth ball of the seventh over of the West Indies innings, Shimron Hetmyer hit a six off Dhir. But on the very next ball, Dhir dismissed him.

Similarly, Pooran smashed a six on the fifth ball of the 11th over. Dhir struck back immediately, claiming Pooran’s wicket on the following delivery.

With five wickets in just three T20Is, Naman Dhir has already made a strong impression on the international stage. If he continues this remarkable pattern, batters may have to think twice before attempting to hit a six off his bowling. After all, against Naman Dhir, a six could be followed by a wicket on the very next ball!
