It appears that Pakistan cricketer Muhammad Rizwan has suffered another setback. According to the latest information, Rizwan has reportedly been banned from even practicing at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). This has led to speculation about whether his cricket career is nearing its end.
Rizwan is already facing an investigation by the cybercrime authorities over allegations related to online betting. At present, he is reportedly focusing on a domestic tournament. Out of form and determined to make a comeback to the national team, Rizwan headed to the NCA to train. However, the PCB delivered another setback there. Board officials reportedly told him that he would not be allowed to practice or undergo fitness tests at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore until the investigation against him is completed. He has also reportedly been told not to participate in any tournaments until then. As a result, he may lose the opportunity to play in domestic tournaments as well. In light of all this, some cricket analysts are reportedly expressing the view that Rizwan's career could be coming to an end.

Rizwan has not been performing at the expected level for Pakistan for some time now. In particular, he has repeatedly been dismissed in similar fashion, becoming a burden on the team. In this context, he stepped down from the captaincy after holding the position for only a short period. Despite this, the Pakistan Cricket Board continued to include him in the limited-overs setup because he would occasionally score runs. However, as he continued to play in the same manner, he was recalled to Pakistan midway through the England Test series.
Meanwhile, because of concerns surrounding his activities, the PCB has reportedly taken possession of his mobile phone and is conducting an investigation. In particular, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency is investigating allegations that he was involved in online betting and gambling activities.
