The ICC Women's T20 World Cup is currently being held in England. In a recent match, the Indian women's team registered a resounding victory over Pakistan. More importantly, Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma delivered a sensational bowling performance. She picked up five wickets, playing a key role in Pakistan's collapse and helping India secure an easy win over their arch-rivals in the very first match of the tournament.

Batting first, India posted 170 runs in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan started reasonably well during the powerplay but lost momentum afterward. The experienced all-rounder Deepti Sharma proved too difficult to handle, and the Pakistani batters failed to cope with her bowling. As a result, Pakistan were bowled out for just 106 runs.

With her five-wicket haul in this match, Deepti Sharma achieved a new milestone. She became the leading wicket-taker in Women's T20 Internationals, moving to the top of the all-time list. The record was previously held by Thailand bowler Thipatcha Putthawong, but Deepti surpassed her with this performance against Pakistan. Deepti now has 166 wickets in Women's T20 Internationals.

Having played a crucial role in many of India's victories over the past few years, Deepti has once again demonstrated her importance to the team. She began the World Cup campaign in outstanding fashion, producing a match-winning spell and helping India secure victory in this high-profile clash against their traditional rivals.
